Behind the Name "De Facto"

Ideally, the government and laws reflect pure justice. But evidently, the world is far from ideal, and the de jure system has become largely out of touch with the people. 
De Facto is a raw, personal, and creative reminder of reality. Stripped down to its core, it is diversity, acceptance, a moral compass, and a celebration of identity. 
On the surface, it is a gallery curated to depict ordinary human experiences. And it does. But truly, more than anything, it represents the unspoken portion America that solely exists for the people, enacted by the people. Hence, de facto, meaning “in reality, actually.”
